Using a 2/1 offset ie the first column starts 01 03 04 06 07 09 one can then extend each row by a sequence instead of a numerical order extension. In this case I have used a 1|8|1|10|4 sequence to give a number set with no threes repeated. If you want all the numbers represented then you would need to add an extra Comb with 44 and 45 for a 6/45 Lotto and an extra Comb 44 45 46 47 48 49 for the 6/49 Lotto.

Incidently, the idea of using a Matrix in Lotto is purely from my imagination; I haven't read any of the Lotto books. Also my curiosity got the better of me and I just had to have a look to see if it did alright against some Cover specification. Turns out it gives 92.26% Cover of 2's if 6 in 49 and if you add the extra comb it goes up to 96.4%.

The extra Comb does not contribute to increasing the percentage return as it's about 50% off probability - I think this is saying something about applying some Mathematical Set Theory Cover constraint in creating a Play Set of numbers in Lotto - it can be a misguided contrivance if separated from percentage return.

This gives the following Combs:

01 03 04 06 07 09
02 04 05 07 08 10
10 12 13 15 16 18
11 13 14 16 17 19
21 23 24 26 27 29
25 27 28 30 31 33
26 28 29 31 32 34
34 36 37 39 40 42
35 37 38 40 41 43

Results from a Test Run against 17,850 Draws from all the World's 6/49 Lotto Histories:

This is a good result. The Avg Plays/Hit is spot on. Using a numerical extension which gives about 30% or so of threes repeated twice and making sure all number are represented in a 6/45 Lotto, 7 combs is as low as I can go and 11 Combs for the 6/49.

Regards
Colin

Lotto Draws have no relationship to one another; the integers serve just as identifiers. Any prediction calculation on one history of draws for a same type game is just as irrelevant as another.

Interesting concept.... I thing I may have seen something similar before!
Don't recall where, must check some of the builds against the PT history....

Maybe I will try to build something similar for the 6/90 Superenalotto...
